Veterans Embrace GoalFriends
Transitioning into Civilian Life
The first GoalFriends group specifically for student veterans kicked off this month at Wake Technical Community College Northern Wake Campus. According to Marilyn Terrill, Dean of Veterans Programs and Innovations, our mission is “to support and enhance the educational experience of our student veterans and eligible family members by assisting with the transition into higher education to achieve their career goals.” She also shared that they have been looking for a way to connect with female student veterans and family members to assist them on their paths toward success. We are excited that GoalFriends has been chosen to be this transitional program and we look forward to continuing this work with other Veteran groups.
